15.02% Increase in Smyrna Home Values

Contrary to the national statistics, some areas are still seeing an increase in values such as Smyrna in CobbCountyAccording to the AJC’s annual Home Sales Repot every metro county last year saw a decline in residential sales. In majority of those areas the median price also decreased.  But in Smyrna values have soared.  Prices have increased 15.02% over a 2-5 year period meaning a real estate investment in this city is brining a positive return.  Residents living in Smyrna are not only seeing a return on their investment they are also saving on gas by living closer to work and the major interstates.  With CobbCounty being home to many Fortune 500 and small companies and easy access to downtown, Smyrna is a convenient location for many professionals. It also provides an appealing lifestyle with dining, shopping and entertainment close to home.

Overall the state of Georgia had a 2.2% increase in price change for the fourth quarter.  Many other states also saw some increase, Utah with the highest at 5.6% increase.  California decreased the most with -10.6% change in prices.
